PAMELA STECKER
Director

Pamela Stecker is the principal consultant and owner of IMAGEWORKS, with fine arts and fashion design qualifications and extensive knowledge of the TCF industries.

Pamela taught Fashion Design and Fashion Business at TAFE NSW for many years, and ran her uniform manufacturing company before shifting her expertise, at the request of clients, to consulting and project management.

She is the author of two books, The Fashion Design Manual, which is a reference text used by fashion schools in Australia and overseas, and Superstyle at Work, which was published in Beijing for the Chinese market.

Pamela offers cutting edge industry expertise with a professional and personalised approach, and is committed to looking after her clients to maximise their procurement solutions.

The fashion
design manual

THE FASHION DESIGN MANUAL 2 is a valuable industry resource for designers, fashion professionals, students and everyone interested in fashion and design.

The book explains the creative process of designing and making fashion, and how a designer works with fabrics, colours, shapes, inspiration and ideas to create garments that reflect the mood of the times. The reader treads the path of the designer as their ideas move from sketch to sample, through production, onto the catwalk and out to the consumer. The practical challenges of marketing and running a responsible and sustainable business are also addressed.

The content was written in consultation with fashion companies and professionals, and discusses the careers and opportunities that the global fashion industry offers. The text is heavily illustrated with drawings, charts and photographs, with many coming direct from industry sources.
